The Hell of the North presented by WINSPACE

Hell of the North presented by winspace

Our Spring Edition will be held on Sunday May 26th, 2024.

The 15th anniversary edition of the Hell of the North is going to be our best yet. We have so many exciting things in the works. The biggest being that we are going to have a HOTN weekend and run the Heck and Hell on separate days. Saturday May 25th Heck - Sunday May 26th Hell. We also have a few changes in store including a new finish, a new venue all together for the Heck AND… all the big energy, positive vibes and goodies that come with a new presenting sponsor!!

These events are where life long memories are made. Starting and ending at the Ballantrae Community Center this epic spring classic has 90 kilometres of the most amazing dirt and off road sections that will make this truly one of the most challenging events around. As always the Hell of the North route will include rail trails, dirt roads and some of the area's nicest climbs. Cyclocross and mountain bikes for this one. There are gnarly sections where you might have to dismount and run. Road bikes are not recommended, MTB shoes and pedals are!

Our Spring Edition will be held on Saturday May 25th, 2024.

NEW FOR 2024!! The Heck of the North will be held independently of the Hell of the North. The Heck will be held on Saturday May 25th and the Hell will be held the following day on Sunday May 26th.

It may be the Hell of the North’s 15 year anniversary but the Heck has stood the test of time and has been alive and kicking for the past 11 years! Yes you read that correctly. The Heck of the North has been around for 11 years. Way back when, we decided we needed an alternative route to compliment the Hell and give roadies a day on the bike they would never forget. This ride was built for everyone. It is a road event for roadies on road bikes. The Heck is for anyone who wishes to be tested but doesn't want to dismount or ride through a farmers field like the crazies that do the Hell. The Heck of the North is a 70 kilometer route that will still include many of the amazing “paved” roads used in the Hell of the North but there are no off-road sections, farmers fields, or the nasty trench. This means you can ride a regular road bike on this beauty. There is only one hard packed gravel section. The rest of the course is 99% asphalt. The best part is… WE WILL HAVE A BEER GARDEN! Creemore Springs Brewery will be on site providing gifts, prizing and delicious cold Creemore Spring beer! Please tell your friends and help get the word out. Many out there still think the Heck isn’t for them but in reality it is for everyone and anyone…. they just don’t know it yet.

ALSO NEW FOR 2024!! THE REAL HERO RIDE. This relaxed pace, enjoyable ride just might be what you are looking for. Details coming soon
