RIDE WITH ED

Your ride. My full attention.

Ever wanted to ride with a professional cyclist and ask all the questions you’ve been saving up? Here’s your chance.

Join me for a one-on-one coaching session on the bike. I’ll ride alongside you, demonstrate skills and give you direct feedback as you practise. We’ll work at your pace, on the things that will make the biggest difference to your riding.

I work with all levels, from learning clipless pedals to becoming smoother and more confident in a fast-moving group. No question is too basic. This is your time to learn, try things and build confidence with an experienced rider beside you.

What we can work on

  • The basics: Shifting, braking, starting, stopping and using clipless pedals.

  • Road awareness: Navigating traffic, intersections, signalling and communicating with other riders.

  • Bike handling: Cornering, riding out of the saddle, weight transfer and your position on the bike.

  • Group riding: Positioning on a wheel, drafting, holding a steady speed and maintaining predictable movements.

  • Efficiency: Carrying momentum, choosing gears and learning where small adjustments can save energy.

  • Roadside skills: Changing a flat and handling basic mechanical problems so you’re better prepared when riding on your own.

We’ll choose a route and setting suited to your experience and goals. I’ll help you anticipate what’s ahead, understand your options and make better decisions on the bike.

Along the way, ask me anything, training, racing, equipment, technique or the lessons I’ve learned over years of riding. Think of it as a live coaching conversation, with the chance to put the advice into practice right away.

$125 per hour, plus travel

Athletes on my monthly coaching packages receive a reduced ride-along rate. These sessions are a great way to connect your training plan with practical skills, then carry what we learn into your everyday riding.

Let’s go for a ride. Email me at real.deal@rogers.com to discuss what you’d like to work on, availability, travel costs and coaching-athlete rates.
